Divert to Convert.

Aud Solutions strives to be a leader in local sustainability efforts. In 2019, Thrive Indianapolis developed an actionable plan to prepare for the coming challenges of the 21st century. In the first of it’s kind, this historic plan calls for the joining of forces of city agencies, community partners and local residents. Thrive published goals of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050. There are also goals to increase community-wide waste diversion by at least 40% by 2030 and, because of this, Aud Solutions has launched several internal plans and projects with intentions of contributing to Indiana’s statewide goals.

  • Food waste is one of the least recycled waste streams making it the single largest occupant in U.S. landfills.

  • Roughly one third of the food produced for human consumption every year – approximately 1.3 billion tons – gets lost or wasted.

  • Food waste accounts for as much as 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

  • If food waste were a country, it’s excessive methane emissions would make it the third worst polluter, behind China and the U.S.

The seemingly endless disappointing statistics created a fire in us to be a part of a solution. This is where composting comes in. Indy Go Green is not just a residential, organic waste pick-up service. Indy Go Green and Club Compost are on a mission to educate the Indianapolis community on the many composting processes with a big focus on inspiring individuals to challenge their own consumption habits. Join us, along with the many other individuals, groups and organizations within Indianapolis, in forging a relentlessly sustainable Indiana.
